There are various options to choose from when deciding which platform to use for your new or revamped website. The following is a brief review of each web design option that we offer and support.

Types of Websites Available:

WordPress Website –

WordPress is an open source, or free, platform that once installed and set up, offers many benefits. These include a log-in dashboard which is very easy to use and allows for easy updating, editing and adding of pages and blog posts. This platform is ideal for CRM websites and others that can benefit from some of the many plugins that you can use with it, including classified ads, photo galleries, interactive calendars, etc.  For those who would need multiple blog sites, WordPress version 3.0 is ideal for this usage.

This is a hot, new format for websites where you combine the traditional HTML website along with the benefits and features of a blog. Blogs, which are by design great for SEO, will help increase traffic to your website as a result of better search engine rankings. Once the WordPress website structure is set up, no additional software is needed in order to change or add more content or pages. A direct online login is provided where you and/or our company can maintain your website. Also, it is quite easy to learn the basics in WordPress and we are happy to arrange time for training.

There are many beautifully designed WP templates available for free, along with others that are available for a fee.  WordPress also has many pluggins that are quick to install that have many functions such as: event calendar, guest books, and much more.

HTML site – 
 

This is the traditional platform for websites and most have been typically designed in HTML until recently. They are managed with an HTML Editor software, such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver. Depending on the client’s preference of software, I can create the website in either platform. 

If the client would like training so that they can accomplish the maintenance on their end, that’s also available and can be arranged. If you would like to save some money, there are many HTML templates available that you can choose from, both from online and from my HTML template library. Or you are welcome to purchase one from any template site that you’d like.

HTML site with Flash Header – 
 

This type of website is also designed and managed as the HTML site, with the exception of the header portion. The flash header gives a great, professional and up-scale look while not interfering with the HTML and text portion of the website which is crucial for good search engine rankings. The Flash header does require Adobe FLASH experience for further updating in the future.

eCommerce Website -

I can create an eCommerce or Shopping Cart website with any of the three types of websites above. The only difference with an eCommerce or Shopping website is that an additional program is integrated that allows for you to sell products, including digital items such as ebooks, online.

This type program or software offers reports, including inventory and sales, collects taxes for you, works with affiliates, etc. I use many of the more popular software and can recommend your best options with you.

One of my more recently completed eCommerce Website projects boasts over 90+ pages and 1500 items in it's shopping cart!
